While this happens, we the citizens remain in hardship. Who is there to save us?!
It was News to me! It was too complex for me to understand that Nigerian senators are in any form of hardship, and therefore need to take home maximum wage...
I heard that in the news in 2014. I stopped watching the News after that.
At the time, around 2016, I listened to the public reading of the country's budget where there was an allocation (allowance)designated to senators for 'hardship'.
I dwelt on this matter for quite a while, thinking about what kind of hardship a Nigerian Senator might have in comparison to the reality of the rest of the citizens. I still have not figured this out. I know, however, that we often think of them as people that move the allowances anyway - in large portions-, wether allocated to them officially or not.
While this happens, we the citizens remain in hardship. Who is there to save us?!
